The Birth Companion series is a beautiful compilation of birth story medicine of women choosing to Birth outside of a regulated system . As you hear in the story medicine, I have companions themselves on the podcast and women who hire these companions to witness them through their pregnancies and birth. These companions are wise and skilled they are like your cherished neighbour that used to be called to the Birth. There is so much potency in the stories shared here whether you live in Ontario, Canada or abroad please reach out to me for a companion directory or any other questions you may have when you’re looking for other birthing options outside a regulated system and I hope to be able to provide a light in a direction that might feel aligned for you.
The Birth Companion series is so powerful because it highlights, sovereignty and power that birthing women have when they are witnessed by companions who are loving , skilled , individuals, not individuals who are regulated through insurance companies, government mandates and other silly ways that those systems get in the way of such an important rite of passage for birthing women and families.
